Game for 2017!
Since 2012 A MAZE. awards The Most Amazing Game. The winner is selected by an interdisciplinary, international and 100% independent jury. 2014 A MAZE. extended the award to three categories and the audience award. 2015 we’ve introduced our fourth category the "Other Dimensions Award” which is dedicated to play in virtual reality.
Now in respect of the forward-thinking and game changing development of the creators some of the 2012 award conditions and categories are not legit anymore. We've decided to adapt on the exciting movement and made some extension: The categories are: “Most Amazing Game Award”, “Human Human Machine Award”, “Long Feature Award”, “Digital Moment Award”, “Collider Award” and “Audience Award”.
Interaction is not only about presentation but also about sharing, learning, and exchanging: Invited artists will teach best practices in technology and creativity for artistic and media practices. Focusing on the convergence of digital art, experimentations and games, the talks and workshops provide the artists and developers the opportunity to present projects, artists philosophies as well as discuss and reflect upon them with audience members.
In extention to the independent videogame conference (Apr 27/ 26) we like to add more value to our program. The "Other Realities Conference" is focussing on artistic and interdisciplinary productions in virtual reality and augmented reality. Different realities and art-forms are colliding, bringing up new possibilities, forming content and artistic expression. As the medium is still unexplored it is fascinating how creators build on the discoveries they make within this new form. The "Other Realities Conference“ is programmed in cooperation with Fabbula.
